A fluting & testliner line is a chain of unit processes. Below is the typical equipment list, from raw material to finished reel.
1. Stock preparation (OCC based)
- OCC bale handling / conveyor
- Drum pulper or hydraulic pulper
- Junk remover / ragger
- High-density cleaner
- Forward + reverse cleaners (pressure screens)
- Refiner (double-disc or conical)
- Thickener / decker
- Chests, pumps, agitators
2. Approach flow
- Machine chest, fan pump
- Pressure screen (fine)
- Cleaners (fine), deflaker
- Headbox (open or hydraulic)
3. Paper machine
- Fourdrinier / wire section (breast roll, forming board, table rolls, suction couch)
- Press section (pick-up, suction press, optional shoe press)
- Dryer section (dryer cylinders, dryer fabrics, hood, steam/condensate system)
- Size press (optional for testliner)
- Calender stack
- Reel
4. Finishing & auxiliaries
- Rewinder / slitter
- Drive system (sectional DC/AC)
- Vacuum pumps
- Air compressor, steam boiler (if not supplied)
- Electrical control (MCC, PLC/DCS)
- Water, effluent and steam systems
When we source a line, the included scope and excluded scope matter more than the headline model. Two "complete lines" can differ by millions if one excludes drives, electricals or the pulper.
