Many buyers do not need a whole new mill — they need to upgrade an existing one, or add capacity with a mixed solution.
Common upgrade goals
- Raise speed/capacity with new drives and controls
- Improve quality with a new headbox or press
- Add a second line reusing existing utilities
- Convert grade (e.g., add testliner capability)
Mixed solution logic
Keep the sound structure (wire, frames, dryers) and renew the parts that drive reliability and output: drives, electricals, rolls, controls, hood.
What changes the price
How much existing equipment is reused, the new-component scope, and installation/commissioning effort.
Buyer checklist
- What you already have (photos / drawings help)
- Target improvement (speed, grade, capacity)
- Constraints (building, utilities, reel)
